Crafting

Today we have another BIG release – Crafting.

Here is how it works.

First you need to find a recipe. Recipes are currently of three different types:

Alchemy – mainly for potions

Handcraft – to improve an existing item

and Invetion – to create a completely new item from parts.

 

Once you get the recipe, you need to learn it.

If you hover with the mouse over the recipe, your probability to learn it will be displayed. The probability depends on your skill level (Alchemy for example) and the level of the item. If the levels are equal you have 90% chance to learn the recipe.

Once you learn the recipe, you can go to you inventory and the last tab there is now the Create Item tab:

Here you can select one of the recipes that you know and you immediately see what parts or ingredients you need.

To create an item there can be tree types of requirements:

  1. Item or Items
  2. Resources
  3. Essences

 

You should be already familiar with Items and Resources, but Essences are new. An Essence can be extracted from an item (only some items contain any) or from dead monsters.

 

If you have all requirements ready you can create the item. On the button for item creation you will see again your probability to succeed. It depends on the complexity of the recipe and on the level of your skill required by the recipe (e.g. Alchemy).

 

If you succeed the item is created. If not you loose all the resources and you get nothing. Currently this version is on our beta server http://www.losthero.com/beta/. First recipes can be purchased at the Heroes Camp and at the Zabixxes’s Hut.

  3. Čau, myslím, že to je dobrej nápad na oživení. Nicméně ty popisy kroků questů by se taky mohli dodělat (to jsem si chtěl jen trochu rýpnout :) ). Jen nechápu to, když se Recept naučíš (s nějakou pravděpodobností), jakej vliv na to bude mít znalost např. Alchemy (a kde se tato znalost bude dát trénovat – třeba v podobě questu). Taky by mě zajímalo jak moc budou “výtvory” použitelný, aby to nebylo jako ve FS, kde 2/3 potionů jsou nepoužitelný… Protože to určitě bude stát nějaký úsilí a dost energie, tak jestli to bude stát za to.
    Pokud to chceš přeložit do ANJ, tak to klidně přeložím :)

      diky.

      Ty questy se maj tak ze musim zpetne projit celou hru a naladovat je. To chci delat najedou s tim ze vsude dohazu prave tu alchymii takze to cekalo nani.

      Co se tyka schopnosti – tak potrebujes pro uceni svitku a pak pro zvedani uspesnosti ze se ti povede vytvorit predmet.

      Co se tyka pouzitelnosti – idea je takova ze vetsi cast predmetu ktere jsou ve hre pujdou vylepsit – a to vcetne itemu ze setu. Puvodne jsem chtel aby ty itemy byly dropnut s damage, ale to je mechanika ktera mne trosku nudi.
      To vylepseni mi prijde zabavnejsi.

      Dalsi recepty jsou pak na potiony – takze vareni. Uz ted jsou recepty jak smichat HP, CS and Attack potiony. Pak budou recepty jak z nich udelat dlouhotrvajici (treba na hodinu etc..).
      Myslim ze tim pak dostane system kdy pada hodne potinu, ale na nizke urovni vetsi grady, protoze si z nich budes moct namichat neco opravdu uzitecneho. Takovy Sharp Sword na urovni 500 (tedy +50% utok) uz je pouzitelny.

      Muj cil je aby tuhle funkci pouzivala vetsina hracu, ale samorzejmne se vyplati se specializovat.

  4. The new screen says: “To raise probability to succeed, increase your skill of Alchemy. You can train it or wear items that will raise it for you.”

    Where/how can I increase that skill by training? Terakus only allows me to train strength/dexterity/intelligence & wisdom.

  5. It’s simple … every time when you mix one potion that is higher or equal level you get little bit trained. It’s actually +1 of 100. Once you get 100 points your level will raise.
